1971 GMC Radiator Support - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hey guys-I'm a 1st time poster-new to this site.But think it's really cool.I have a 1971 GMC 1500 I am restoring and am looking for a radiator support.The one currently on the truck has a some rust-it can be fixed-but I would preferre to get a replacement.As far as I can tell-no one makes a aftermarket support for these trucks-due to the 4 headlights.It's a cool truck and really runs strong and as far as I can tell-it was a loaded out truck when new.Pictures will be forthcoming..

Welcome to the board from nearby South Mississippi! You can buy a Chevy core support and put your headlight buckets on it, (that's the only difference). If you looking for used then you'll need to subscribe and post a WTB on the parts board.

Thanks for the warm greet guys-I guess I'll take your advise and weld the old headlight buckets on a new chevy support.I found one on E-bay in Pennsylvania-but the ding dong won't ship it.I guess he's never heard thwe saying"anything for a friend for a fee"huh?Anotherwords-I would have paid him for his trouble-Anywho,two inner and outer fenders,2 rocker panels and one fenderwell and I will be on my way to getting where I can drive it again.
