custom 71
Here is my 71 chevy custom truck. It started out as a K5 Blazer, then went 2 wheel drive and soon after that went under the knife again to become what you see here. Let me know what you guys think. It was truly a project.

Re: custom 71
I was kind of going for the craftsmen truck look. I'm glad you like it. I was thinking of a dark gray for paint. It's alot of fun to drive.

Re: custom 71
Looks good! My next customer build is the same theam but with a 2" chop to bring things together for a board member in Napa. I built his chassie last year and now it is time for the body/roof work. How did you finish out the back of cab/head board?

Re: custom 71
To use the "[IMG]" tags like you did, you have to insert a complete URL to link a picture that already exists somewhere on the net. If you have the pictures on your computer, you have to either attach them (scroll down below the text entry window to the "Additional Options" window and click "Manage Attachements") or you can submit your pictures to a free webhost like photobucket.com, and then use the "[IMG]" tags. Good luck |

Re: custom 71
Like This? The chop top really makes it look more proportional with the short wheelbase.

Seeing a build like that gets me all fired-up. I'm looking forward to having Kevin put his personal touches to my next project. Kustom '71 I like the sound.

Re: custom 71
Oh I see. It didn't occur to me to use a complete pickup cab. Any concerns with the bed panel to cab welds cracking over time? Some of the 4wd Blazer guys won't go for it but I do. You know, a guy could do the same with a shortbed pickup by shortening the bed and frame and welding them back together. Hmmmmm. Thanks for the pics.
