What size is the donut gasket for the pass side exhaust?

2". A little trick I have seen is to get a short lenght (1½") of 1¾" exhaust pipe slip the donut over it and put this in the downpipe (I know it necks the exhaust down but in a stock engine with duals its not going to make any difference). this keeps the donut straight when tighting and gives a better seal.

Mine has that; can it be done on the drivers’ side?

Yes. You just have to make sure the insert does not get in the way of the heat riser or better yet remove it.
