pro street ???
My boy and I are in the planning stages of a pro street 69. We don't have a bed yet , so what I'm asking is, can anyone give us the measurement between the rear fender lips, side to side. We would like to aproximate what our rear tire size will be. And are stepside and fleet side the same width between the fenders?

Re: pro street ???
leafspring frames have a little more space but i put 18.5x33 tires in my truck without cutting anything. If you go with a 16x33 the factory coilover suspension will work but not with 18.5 tires

Re: pro street ???
Why will the swing arm suspension not work with 18.5 wide tires? that is what I am planning on using in my '67. from what I measure I think it will work.
if you remove the springs and go to a coil over set up, i think it'll work. .. if it doesn't then I have big problems! ![]()

Re: pro street ???
when i put 19.5x33 tires in my truck the trailing arm touches the tire, you can pul the arm to the center but the bushing takes a beating. If your truck doesnt sit really low, it will leave a little more room. Also different tires have different bulge so you need to know which tire you want to run. My truck is about 6" lower than 68swb. Good lookin truck.

Re: pro street ???
hey cooters I am planning on a similar drop, what kind of tubb job did you do to the inside fenderwell just inside the fender? it curves in a lot at that point, so I am curious if you cut that out and put a tub in that goes straight up vertically or just extended the wheel houses that are already in place?
i wanna know if it is a rub point or not, since it is hard to measure.. I am also in edmonton, so perhaps one day i can take a peak at your project..looks good! ![]()
