Fuel neck size, poly blazer tank?

I'm getting ready to fab up a fuel filler setup for when I get my blazer tank, but in preparation for that, what size is the fuel neck on a blazer tank? Thanks!

Re: Fuel neck size, poly blazer tank?

I Had A Hard Time With That... I Beleive That They Are 1-1/4" Dia. & My Problem Was That My "cool Cap" Was 1-1/2" Dia. I Had A Guy Local Finish My Install Because I Didn't Know What To Do.. He Ended Up Getting A Piece Of Pipe & Swedging It Down To Meet The 1-1/4" Fuel Hose. I Don't Know If This Will Help, Just My $0.02...

Good Luck & Keep Us Posted On What You End Up Doing.

They are 1 3/8". A muffler shop can usualy help you fab up a neck. WES

1 3/8, I should be able to work with that alright. Thanks Wes!

rodstored-72, where did you install your cool cap, and do you have a pic? That's what I was thinking of running as well in my 72 LWB.

Re: Fuel neck size, poly blazer tank?

i installed the cool cap on the pass. side rear fenderwell (on the back side) & then ran the pipe from there to the tank with short pieces of hose at each end. i wasn't sure on the dia. of the tank. but i do remember the cool cap is 1-1/2" dia.

i will take a pic this weekend & i also need to do a little build thread (if i can figure out how to load pics on the page)..

hope this helps!

Re: Fuel neck size, poly blazer tank?

Is this on a fleetside (I can take the description either way, but assume its fleet). If so, you're saying it is mounted into the inner rear fender well on the back side correct? Sounds like a pretty good idea to me, and I'll have to look into it. A pic or two would be great, and if you need help loading them, let me know.
