well. what ya know throw some money at the truck and sumthn else $hts the bed on me. trucks run'n rough all day, sumthn with the fuel delivery not sure what. installed a new fuel filter in the line right out of the tank. seemed to fix that. went to fill er up tonight so i wouldnt have to deal with it in the am get to the gas station truck sputters a bit an i just kill the switch an coast in. figured theres was more trash in the line after the filter. fill up. turn the key.turns over but wont fire give it some fuel nuthn. sit for a min think...an i hear fluid running. get out look in the carb. and its like a water fall. so i pull the line let it sit for a bit then crank it again. thinkn maybe sum trash in with the float or sumthn cuaseing it to gush like that.(it was like haveing the pedal ALL the way down. ) fire it up and boom starts. run all the gas thats been poured in the carb till it dies from no fuel.oaky trash gone. reconnect line and bang. everythings ok. head home. at the stop sign stomp it for the hell of it. starts to break loose, then hooks up. then breaks loose and then hooks up. NOW for the actual problem.(the rest was to let you in on my frame of mind. )nuthn out of the ordinary, get down the street half way down the drive way and truck stops. wont move. rev it up nuthn..WHAT THE HELL!!.. put it in park get out check under neath no puddle nuthn loose or broke.. pull the stick perfecto!!.. what the hell!!.. put it in gear rev it up rev some more and it lerchs forward..enough for me to get to the shop. then i have to push it in. anyone know what happend, i dont have much exp with trannys other than changen filters an gaskets at the pan. did my tranny go? whats up...when it rains it pours around here. help me out fellas. this is my only ride other than the bike an its still a lil to cool out for that in the am to work. Re: th350 issue.

is it making any noise? it sounds like you just broke some hard parts. breaking loose then hooking up again hard finds the weak link very quick. in th350's the weak link is usually the sprag or torque converter.try ever gear and see if it moves. if it doesnt move at all in any gear chances are you broke the torque converter.

Re: th350 issue.

A tranny guy told me something to try once and worked for me. get longer bolts for the torque convertor where it mates to flywheel and put washers betweent them so that the torque convertor engages further on the forward pump. I took mine out to rebuild it and he said that was all i needed to do because the two areas where the torque convertor grabs were wore down on the ends.

Hope this makes since!!!

Re: th350 issue.

pretty common occurance when you start beatin on 35year old parts they tend to expire quickly// nows the time to spend the money and upgrade to a modern built overdrive you can probabally do the whole deal for a bit under 2grand
