center console ideas
Anyone got some? I have been thinking about this for a couple of weeks, and was wondering what you guys have done?
Things I have considered: 1. Jump seat from a late model (one that has cup holders) 2. Stock out of a blazer or other 3. nothing. 4 custom wood and fiberglass deal. Never built one so that is the obstacle there. 5. one of those late model center consoles that have the speaker enclosure in them. would be nice to have some bass up front! What have you guys thought of or done/seen?

Re: center console ideas
I think no console is kinda cool for access around the interior. You can have a Chinese firedrill w/o opening the doors .I like the factory cupholder-type as consoles go.

Re: center console ideas
for a blazer or 'burb, i really like the idea of a hummer h2 console. i started a little thread on it with some pics, but basically using the h2 console (because it has a/c ball vents for the rear passengers that will hold our style ball vents.) Then i was thinking that instead of using the stock h2 lid, you could graft an original style lid onto the console and it would have a nice factory appearance. i took measurements, and it looks like it would fit perfectly, adding cup holders and a slot for the 4wd selector (if you reverse the cupholder insert.) linky here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=221088

I like the idea of two rows of buddy buckets. But at their current price it's tempting to go to something more modern. |
