help with vacuum hoses
okay when I bought my truck the carb had been taken off and rebuilt, then it sat in the seat of the truck...well there is nothing to putting the carb on and all...if I knew where all the vacuum hoses went...since it was off I never saw it all together. Then only one I'm sure of is the PCV. This is a 1970 Custom/10...It has no options, a 307 and a two barrel carb..everything is stock and I plan on going back that route...well except for my HEI and Int. Reg alternator...just for reability sake. It also has the Powerglide. When looking at the engine, on the left side, right next to where the carb goes there is a vacuum module...one plug going in and looks like two going out..I'll include a pic of the engine..although it is old and you my not be able to see anything. This truck does not have a/c or power brakes or steering. A picture of a stock 307 where you can see all the lines would be awsome. Thank you for your help.

Re: help with vacuum hoses
It looks like your engine has the remains of the TCS system, (Transmission Controlled Spark). A lot of the guys remove the setup as it does not allow the vacuum advance to work unless the engine is warm and the tranny is in high gear.

Re: help with hoses
okay I understand what you are saying with that...but what do you do to remove it?? is that the hose from the manifold to the tranny?? what do I need and not need in the way of vacuum attached to my carb?? I know I need the advance on the dizzy...and the pcv hooked up...what else is there?? I'm wodering what that junction is...does it control the choke or what?? I hope people chime in so I can get my carb all setup right. on the 2barrel what pushes and what pulls vacuum on it?? I've always replaced vacuum lines...never started from scratch so I really need help in knowing what goes where and what I need and don't need.
