Re: Anyone runnin 15x6 on there truck.?

I had 15x6.5" van ralleys on the Beater when it was in use. I'm not sure what it's going to end up with now though.

Seems a re-birth would call for some new shoes . . ....

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Not too many changes. Just cleaning up the sheetmetal & maybe adding some retro rollers (no bling).

My buddies always ask me if I'm gettin excited every time we pass a truck that still has steelies on it @ the shows/swap meets.
I guess for me, if it isn't broke....

Not exactly. More than likely it will be the semi-black or possibly something close to the original bronze but a 'patina' finish. I was also thinking of combining the 2: black w/bronze interior & a few other spots for contrast. If it gets custom wheels (& that's a big IF), they will be an 'as cast' type finish.

Like TX Firefighter (who reappeared lately), I would rather drive it & not worry about it vs. paint it pretty & lose sleep. OK.... back to the original subject: Who else has 15x6 wheels?

Re: Anyone runnin 15x6 on there truck.?

Seems like a good place to ask. I am looking for some stock truck 5 lug ralleys for project low buck truck build. I want the type with all the small rectangles around the outer section with caps and rings in the factory grey. 7's for the front and 8's for the rear. Anyone have some out their or know were to find a set? If so please PM me.

Re: Anyone runnin 15x6 on there truck.?

Did you guys notice the classic trucks magazine 72 that just got lowered with 15x6 crager s/s and 225/75/15 s!!!!!!!!!! big step in the other direction from all the 22" dubs.

15x6s are lot easier turning with out power steering too.

Re: Anyone runnin 15x6 on there truck.?

I powdercoated some 5-lug 8x15 OEM-types for my built from parts truck just`cuz I had`um.They`ll get shod w/narrow whitewalls, but prolly full wheelcovers for the old guy look. That`s all I`m sayin`.Everyone builds my idea before I can.(a few years ago it was going to be aout what Tim Christian built).A beautiful truck for sure.

Re: Anyone runnin 15x6 on there truck.?

I hear ya,Kevin.I get the ideas and the money guys beat me to it.I`ve seen trucks I`ve dreamed up built to the "T".And,I always start with the intention to build something different, yet what others would like and think,"wow, why hasn`t anyone done that before?"From colors to designs.I`ll never do most so here`s one...a`66 soft-top 4wd Blazer.Shorten a Carryall body a bit,de-top it,fab w/s top frame,custom-stitched top,and set on a Blazer frame.I popped it on the photoshoppers and they came up with neat lowered(I guess I didn`t say 4wd) hard top (didn`t say conv.)versions and I thanked them.
