The weather in NW IOWA !!!
Well Well......we have been hit with a 2 day blizzard, and I had no internet for the whole time. Finally got back up and running today, WOW talk about being bored !!!!!!!!!!

Jeez, that's bad. It looks like the worst storm you guys have had in a long time. It's really amazing how it drifts over the road like that. I won't say how it was here today. But it was a little nicer.

dig yourself out and come up here for a while. we didnt get hit as bad. but it was close for a while there. on Thursday afternoon I was out making numerous trips to Lowes for plumbing stuff, each time taking the interstate around town and seeing nothing but the hood of my truck at times.

here are a few shots from the ice storm that hit my parents, just outside of cedar falls, last week.
the cow is a cement yard thing. The building shows the ice on the whole east side 5 minutes before it all came crashing down. |

Crazy how we havent had much snow all winter & what we did have was almost melted, now we get this mess. Better now than october I guess.
Ill add a couple pics tomorrow, but its basicly the same thing. My geo in the driveway is completly covered except one mirror. I heard we got @ 12+" this weekend. My furnace is acting up & my snowblower wont stay running. Ya, Im sick of it. Least my internet is working... |

Here is a couple more pics, for those of you who don't see much snow.
They are saying 16 inches we ended up with and 45 mph winds. BOY I CAN NOT WAIT TIL SPRING !!!!!!

another thing I just remembered. the DOT closed the interstates. that's right, closed! there are gates at the on ramps to keep people out and at times they use them.

Hope the dog faired well inside through all of that mess! We were supposed to get the backside of that storm here in Mid Michigan. The forecasters were calling for 6-8 inches or so but thank God we just got a little rain and sleet.
 We didn't get any snow! I am in the wrong business!

I was supposed to go the New Richmond, Wis Saturday but decided I would wait till this week sometime. I'm going straight up 35 to the cities and then east. We bought a jeep up there. Hope its not to bad a driving by Tues or Wed.

PLEASE,I have enough of that white crap in my dooryard, i dont want to look at it posted here too.Its bad enough that i have 12 vechicles and they are all parked in winter and have to drive the wifes impala for 4 months.But im feeling better the HARLEY started right up this morning,not that i can ride it yet.
