Re: header question

Not trying to:tj:,my neighbor purchased a set of headman 3/4 length headers for his truck (1965 350, floor shift 4 speed) installed them and loved them. Only problem is he sold the truck recently and doesn't have any info as to the headers part number. Any ideas?

Re: header question

Yah I kinda have the same question, Ive got a 65' and doing a 350/350 swap this weekend but wanting to put some headers on it, just wondering what would be a good set to order from Summit so I can get them in by Sat.

Re: header question

If you can use a full length header, I've used ones for the 73-87 trucks. The only problem with using these is if you have a manual tranny. You have to rework the clutch belcrank to make them work. The Hedman numbers for these are 69090,69092,69097,69099. They are basically the same except for the port style. I've not used these hedman's on a 63-66 but they should work, except for like I said about the belcrank.

Re: header question

For anybody still on this topic, I bought generic Summit headers for an 88-95 small blockwithout air injection; (I think, its been awhile). they fit very well; sort of a mid length type header.........I welded up the oxygen fitting in the drvr side and took off a little frame for clearance right at the collector.....maybe 1/4 inch max.....BUT, I have my engine mounted on the FRONT set of holes for more clearance at the firewall. Probably no issues with the back position but I see most people on the site still have their engine in the stock location........good luck........

by the way, the Summit headers were Pacesetters..........
