Project "no-name"

I figured I should start a thread on my pickup. It is a '63 short box, big window with a '61 hood and a '60 grill. I will try and post any work I do to it on this thread.
I was playing with photoshop today to see if I wanted to put up the bones for WWW's. I think I came to the conclusion that I have to get them. Also I need to primer this poor thing soon, as an attempt to hide the shoty body work that was previosly attempted on the ol' girl, so I laid a coat of primer on it in photoshop as well.

That picture is not what I want, just what I will be doing next. This is the way it sits today.

Re: Project "no-name"

I thought I should give out a few plugs. I ordered my tires from Diamond Back tires www.dbtires.com, there are some cool people over there and they treat you right. Also the wheels are custom ordered from Pete Paulsen www.petepaulsen.com, Pete has always treated me right.

Re: Project "no-name"

The rear tires where fun to air up. I had to use some ether (starting fluid) and a match to seat the bead .

Re: Project "no-name"

Love the stretched on look...reminds me of the mini-trucks back in the late 80's early 90's with th 195/50/15 stretch'd on 10" rims...just waiting for major curb rash !!!

Looks good man...I like the tire size combo !!!

I was nervous about how the tire wheel combo was going to turn out. I know most guys with wide whites stay with a skinnier tire/wheel but I like the skinny/wide combo. I definetly was nervous about it being to "stretched out" like you mention, but I like how it turned out. It definetly looks better in person than in the pics.

Re: Project "no-name"

I should note that I am using a camaro rear end, I'm not sure but my rear axle might be narrower than factory. Also I had to do alot of triming on the inside of the rear fender.

The center caps and it's hard to see in the picture but the lug nuts are bullet lugs, they came from Pete Paulsen www.petepaulsen.com
