What shocks are you using. (Dropped)

As the title says, what shocks are you running with your dropped suspension.

-How much Drop?
-Have you used another brand before?
-hows the ride quality?

I was running nitro's on my last lowered pickup, but i have nothing to compare them to, plus that was 2001, so things have probably gotten better since then.

Re: What shocks are you using. (Dropped)

My front shocks are stock length and my rears are 3" lower. The rear shock prevents me from full lift by about 2" and I am using a 6" bag in the rear with a 3" cup.

I had the same problem with the front, but I returned them and got longer ones. I am using Doetsch shocks, cheap from Summit with an ok ride.

Good thread, mine is bagged and I was wondering the same thing. I was
unsure of how much the travel would be limited by the shocks if any

Re: What shocks are you using. (Dropped)

Mine is on bags.I got my compressed and extended measurements and took it into a parts fella at the local napa.He came up with a couple of options and I selected a higher end napa shock.
Don't know how they work and it'll be at least another year before I find out

I'm using Belltech Nitroactives. They handle pretty darn well.

Re: What shocks are you using. (Dropped)

I had Belltech Nitroactives on my 97 f150. I wouldnt buy them again. I just recently bought doestch tech's for my bagged 69. I've always heard great things about them which can't be said for the beltech and toxic shocks. I lot of people like the monroe shocks too. They were my second choice.

Re: What shocks are you using. (Dropped)

sorry luv I didn't check back.
I got Ultra-LT G63357 & G63355.One thing to keep in mind though,I may have shot myself in the foot because I mounted the shocks in the stock locations.I've decided to try it out and see how bad it is and I'll relocate if it's a real issue.

Re: What shocks are you using. (Dropped)

KYB "drop shocks" 3/5 drop all from LMC. If I had to do it again I would have gone with Bilstein shocks. I had them on a 2" lowered '96 Impala SS, the ride was amazing and it handled better then a Miata, well in my mind any way...

They are black and I can't remember the name. I got them off ebay. The truck is in winter storage right now. Rides pretty good considering how I lowered it.
