Heater fan question
My heater fan quit working and it's driving me nuts. How does that circut work? How does the fan know what speed to run? I am getting 8 volts at the fan motor w/ the switch on high, and 12 volts w/ it on medium. But here's the thing, when I jump 12 volts directly to the fan motor, it runs great. Now, that tells me I have bad connection to the fan, OK, I can deal with that, but what about the 8 volts on high? I could not get the fan to run at all with the connector on the end of the wire, I didn't try putting a new connector on yet-I hate to cut the stock one off. What happens if I just wire up the fan to a toggle switch for now?
