Our Camaro with a 68 Chevy pickup

My dad sent this picture to me this week, I thought it was cool.

He worked at Shalla Chevrolet here in Detroit at the time. This picture is from 1968 on the way to Windsor Dragway I believe. The truck was the dealer shop truck, that is his Shalla sponsored Camaro behind it. The Camaro is currently being restored (slowly) but I thought this was a great pic

If that was in 1968 - that truck had a rough life quick just from what can be seen. That's a very cool picture - thanks for posting.

Trucks were trucks back then. They didn't have bedliners and bed coatings, and it is Michigan.

Awesome Photo.

Yeah, even the parts truck we had at the Chevy dealer I worked at in 1984 took a beating

He had the hot ticket in the day. I never was lucky enough to get dealership sponsors. I was lucky to get a local gas station or a corner store. Brought back memories.

Ain't that the truth. No one cried when a truck got beat on back then, they were just tools, not toys.

Re: Our Camaro with a 68 Chevy pickup

Hey Joe, is the Camaro going to be repainted as the race car it once was or will it be a solid color restoration?
