Q-jet CFM
I went to the u pull it yard yesterday looking for a q-jet with an electric choke. I was amazed at how many are already gone!
Anyway, is there a way to determine the CFM on these or are they all the same? Is there a desirable car/truck to get one from? Thanks, Dean

Re: Q-jet CFM
750 usually. There were some 850's but they are really rare. Do a Google search and you will find several good Rochester sites that will give you the specs. based upon the number stamped on the side of the carb. The electric chokes are the later models...late '70's-'80's.
They can all be modified for high performance. You got about the best they had to offer since it has an electric choke. Were there any more laying around there?

Re: Q-jet CFM
usually the u pull it yards pull them when they come in. Swap meets are the best place to find them.

Re: Q-jet CFM
If you want the 850 G-jet look for an old Caddy or Olds Toranado, they usually have them. The monsters those cars had under the hood would need them
