The truck looks cold cold in the first few pics. Really dig the new red paint.

Yeah, a cold, icy day in D/FW. A few cold beverages and it made for a scary, icy ride back to the house!

When I bought the truck it was barely running. I got it half-way to my buddys house where he was going to give it a thorough (sp) looking-over and it flat out died! Another friend was following me and he said when it backfired, it was shoothing 2 foot flames out the pass. side tailpipe! We had to tow it from Grapevine to Mansfield (for those with D/FW geography knowledge) on a tow strap. $700 and 1 month later, I had a fairly reliable truck in my posession!

What can I say... I like to unwind from the the long hard work days of being a trucker. Don't worry, The trucking and drinking parts NEVER interfere with each other!

Wow, That's beautiful!!

Was it a hard decision to go all red verses keeping the white top? I'm struggling with that decision right now (in blue). I think I would prefer to paint it all one color, but then I look at the printout on the glove box door, and that white top is spelled out in print. I don't care for the original medium blue, so I'm going to find a better blue color. All my friends tell me to go back to the original white top though. I'm torn.

I like the original white top. When it comes to doing this truck again in 5 - 10 years time, I will restore it to the original color. The red is a cheapo but acceptable Maaco fix. Looks better than the rattle can primer gray I was running around with!
