accelerator pedal swap

Im trying to convert a floor mounted pedal to the 71/72 pedal that uses cable versus linkage. Seemed like it should be easy but I have run in to issues locating the pedal on the fire wall. Does any one know if the fire wall profile changed on these cabs with model years? Pics of my firewall below showing holes for floor mount pedal. If some could post a pic of a 71/72 firewall showing the pedal mounting it would help me alot. I need a reference point for the cable hole and mount holes for pedal bracket

Re: accelerator pedal swap

Well I guess I need to start reading the faq section before I start grinding, live and learn. Bending the linkage is the key, my cable was hitting the rounded section of the firewall. Would still like to see pics of the 71/72 firewall if anyone has them handy just to see the diffeence in the profiles.

Thanks guys
