Hi all! 1972 K5 looking for 2-4 inch lift kit. Recommendations for a manufacturer that has a smooth ride and easy install and reliabilty.

Are you looking to go full springs or spring block?

Hi!! Probably full springs vs. the blocks just checking to see which is best overall, I'm more concerned with ride quality and handling than expense. : )

i am going with a rough country set up on my truck with a shackel flip in the rear so it rides nicer then before

Damn that's a nice looking truck. If you're looking at ride quality and don't have a lot of off roading in mind you might consider sticking with blocks in the rear. The ride won't change.

I have two 72 Blazers, one completely stock, the other 4" lift on 35's. The lifted one rides and drives way nicer. I started with blocks in the rear, but the axle rap, taking off, and stopping, drove me crazy. I switched to a shackle reversal, and removed the blocks, wich got rid of 90 percent off the azle wrapp, and the ride got wayyyyyyyy smother. On the same gravel road where I used to chase the back of the truck oround corners, it is now a smooooooth ride. Both trucks have no sway bars, and for some reason, the lifted truck rides way smoother and leans way less in a corner. Soooo my recipe for a lift would be springs for the front and shackle reversal for the rear. I have not personly had the rear lift springs, but just looking at the arc in those tells me they would be a rough ride.

Best ride ever, bar none...ALCAN full spring set.

Follow em up with some nice shocks and your all set.

I have a tuff country EZ ride 2.5 on my K5 with rear blocks and a Skyjacker 4" on my truck front and rear springs, The EZ ride is ok but not as good as the softride if I had to do it over I would have just bought a 2.5 Skyjacker Softride for my K5

Another recommendation for Tuff Country EZ-rides. The ride is much better than stock on my blazer.

OneTonK5, I just got a quote last week for a 4" all leaf lift for my 71 K5 Blazer. The cost of the springs: $ 200.00 each front spring and $225.00 each rear spring. They come with bushings and take about 3 weeks to design and build.

I'm sure they are worth it, but I can't afford that right now...
