73-80 Body Trim

I'm looking at a 79 Silverado. It's got a pretty straight body but it has the silver trim all down the body. On one of the fenders, some of it looks to have been ripped off. I've never had to deal with this stuff as my 1978 didn't have it, or probably had it removed before I owned the truck.

Is this stuff attatched with screws or is it held on with adhesive?

Is this stuff still available to buy as a replacement and how costly is it ?

Re: 73-80 Body Trim

it's held on with clips, studs and speed nuts.it's available thru lmc, chevy duty, several other's.if your going to end up replacing all of it.buy the whole kit.i found out it's cheaper to only pay shipping once, those long pieces are pretty spendy shipping, plus you get a price break for buying the whole set.and it matches better.gm original is alot better quality than taiwan repo that most places offer, however it's spendy.

Cool, just making sure I wasn't getting myself into a welding mess to fill those holes.
