GenIII w/ ECE mounts, what headers?
Anyone figured out what fits? ECE says Sanderson is in the process of developing some...
I have a set of the 98-99 Camaro/Firebird manifolds that I know will work, but they flow like crap. Looking for a better alternative. -Chris

Re: GenIII w/ ECE mounts, what headers?
Street and Performance has a set of headers for the Gen III and it fits a 67-72 truck.

Re: GenIII w/ ECE mounts, what headers?
But will they fit with the ECE mounts? The ECE mounts are pretty beefy.

Has anyone gotten the A/C compressor to fit with the adapter plate style mounts? I think that would open up the header options a bit. -Chris

Re: GenIII w/ ECE mounts, what headers?
I could have left it in the stock position on mine, it would have cleared, but I opted to delete it for now.

Re: GenIII w/ ECE mounts, what headers?
S&P sells a beefy conversion plate that moves the mounts to a different position. Their headers clear that alright.

S&P also has an A/C relocation bracket, but it is $$$, and ugly.

Re: GenIII w/ ECE mounts, what headers?
I went with ECE and yes, it would have fit. All you gotta do is say "S&P" and it's gonna cost more money I'm surprised they don't charge you just to print their company name at the forum

Re: GenIII w/ ECE mounts, what headers?
S&P can be pricey, but the others aren't giving it to you either. You will pay for the fit sooner or later.

Re: GenIII w/ ECE mounts, what headers?
I'm using the S&P mounts and the compressor fits, I had to trim the bracket a bit to miss the mounting plate. I also haven't come to the part where the compressor gets hooked up but I've been keeping my eye on some fittings that look like they will work.
