mine is 48 deg. depends on outside temp. when over 100 deg vent is around 50 to 52 deg. im using an accumulator system with r134. used all original a/c system but replaced evaporator with a later model truck evaporator set up for cycling cluth system.

Dave, a really good temp to have coming out of your vents is in the low-mid forties. I've achieved that on late-model pickups, but don't know how easy it would be to get that number on ours. And yeah, it'll go up considerably if it's really hot outside.

The best way to tell if you are getting a good efficient system is when the air coming out of the register is 20-25 degrees colder then the air recirculating back to the evaporator. This will reach a maximum temp that will be about 45-50 degree supply air temp. At a suction pressure of 32 lbs the gas temp is at about 32 degrees and the losss through the coil will get you about 42 degree air. Good luck these are just rough figures. Ed ke6bnl

Mine is 45 deg @2000 rpm, and about 53 @idle, with about 95 deg outside temp. I'm using all original parts except for 134A and ditching the POA valve in favor a clutch cycling switch version from Old Air Products.
