700r4 TV Cable

Okay guys, I need some help on the TV setup for the 700r4, I have an Edelbrock 1406 carb, and I don't want to spring $106 for the BTO kit for the carb. What did y'all do? Also, is the lockup wiring from BTO worth the $70 or does someone else make a similar kit for this, with a little more budget minded price tag? Thanks, Justin

I'm the cheapest b@stard you'll meet, and that's the o nly way I would go in a non stock set up.

Man, you are QUICK! Well, if I can get around the mill I have at school, maybe I can make one up, who knows.

I don't recall the prices off the top of my head but TCI and B&M make lock up kits also.

Re: 700r4 TV Cable

You need to buy the spring that will adjust your cable to the shuttle valve in your trans. You can try to compensate the adjustment but it just isn't the same. Read about the TP adjustment, BTO has a real good overview. I have burn't 2 700's already. I used a double switch on my brake switch one open/one closed and went thru a vacuum switch to a junkyard harness. Worked well for about 5 years. The brake switch went out and I just use a toggle on the dash. My 2 cents
