Dana 60's
Any interest in a set of Dana 60's out of a 1986 Chevy 1-ton dually?
Asking $1,500 PRICE REDUCTION $1,200 Make an offer if you are interested. The price isn't firm. To convert to a single wheel truck all you have to do is change out the front hub/rotor. I will deliver within a reasonable distance. Thanks Bill

Re: Dana 60's
I agree. They aren't cheap, but well worth the money. I lucked out and found a single wheel set before I converted the dually pair.

Re: Dana 60's
by 60's do you mean a 60 front and 14 bolt rear, or 60 front and 70 rear? K30's didnt come with 60 rears.
also, IMO i think you're asking a tad too much, especially since its a DRW. yeah, you can convert to SRW easily, but thats another $300 there. thirdly, i didnt think we could post for sale ads here? perhaps I am wrong. The rules on this site change just about daily.

Re: Dana 60's
I think the price is fair, it may be a little high considering it is a drw, around here they sell for around 800 for a dually & 1000 for a srw. i know a couple guys who had the dually flange machined off the hub and made it into a srw.

Re: Dana 60's
I`m confused, too. These axles were under the truck, but not original, right?Only Napcos with Spicers were made before`75.I had a`71 SRW C/30 Napco conversion. It had drum brakes on front, since it was the old axle they used from the`50s...A bit of trivia for you 4x-nuts.

Re: Dana 60's
The front is a dana 60 and the rear is the big 14 bolt. The gear ratio is 4.10 in both. These are out of a 1986 K-30 dually. The spring perches are the same width as the 67-72 4x4's.
Any questions feel free to give me a call. 307-324-3039 Bill

Re: Dana 60's
If you get $1500 tell me who and where cause I'd take that for all the D60's I sell. I've never gotten that much even for a SRW and I'm in the axle selling business.

Re: Dana 60's
I have not been on the parts board in a while, did the rules change? I didn't think it was polite to comment on the price...take it, leave it or make an offer...just my 0.02/

Re: Dana 60's
The price is right on.I see axle sets go as much as $1,600 depending on condition.Converting isn`t an issue, either.Anyone that`s serious enough to plunk the bucks down to upgrade to a Dana60 is also going to want to overhaul the whole thing anyway. That`s what I do unless that`s been done. Then they`re worth $1,600.Also,not everyone wants singles and these are exactly what they want. They`re not just for play toys.
I`ve bought from Brinegar before and he`s a square dealer.

Re: Dana 60's
Thanks for the compliment. Hopefully someone will want them before my wife gets tired of them taking up garage space.
