lowering seat bracket -

I got a seat out of a '91 Chevy p/u but the bracket is about an inch to high for me. Does anyone know of an aftermarket bracket to lower the seat a little, or have and idea as to how to cut the bracket down fairly easily? Thanks for your input.

Re: lowering seat bracket -

if you can weld at all, I would just cut an inch or two out of the middle and weld it back together.

the brackets are fairly thick, so you wouldn't have to worry about them warping too much.
