how low can I go?

I am wanting to drop my 67 short fleet.I have it down to a rolling frame.I want to drop it as far as I can without z-notching or hacking to much,as I want to drive it this spring.I am limited to about $1000.Bags? or Static? If it is going to cost more then I want to get the right stuff,So I can still modify later without buying twice.

no need for pics. I found 67fleets ,and I must say WOW. and I figured out that $1000 will get me going,but not there.

You can get close for about $1200 with some shopping. For ease of locating the gear and getting it going, figure $1400.

I would recommend replacing the upper and lower control arm bushings as well as the ball joints and tie rod ends while you have everything apart. It's a little more money up front, but a lot less hassle.

Also note that 67Fleet trimmed the front cups. So look at how they sit in the spring pocket and and trim as much as you can off before installing them to get as low as he was.

I'm not low! But I'm going to be.......

Front cups: have them machined down to 1/2-3/4". That gives the cup just enough bite to sit in the spring pocket but not give any extra height. Out back I had taken the snubbers out of the top of the c-notch, and cut a small section of the bed floor where the pumpkin was hitting. It allowed the diff to come up thru the bed approx. 1/2". I will have my CPP bolt-in C-notch kit for sale in the appropriate forum hopefully this weekend.

Fleet , with the same bag setup in the rear, by going with the 8'' hoop at the frame and cutting your bed. How much altitude will you lose.It seems that you will be having to re-think your bag and bracket setup before to long.The reason I ask is I have an extra frame (longbed) that I WAS going to send to the scrapper.Now after I get my truck back on the road,I can modify the extra frame at my leisure.

He went with a step notch and bridge, that's why his notches are for sale.

but from the setup that he has now( c-notch) to a Bridge and cutting bed, how much dropp will he gain?

couple of Questions: 1-is this the setup that 67fleet is going with? 2-Are the trailing arms at stock location where they mount. 3-will the frame lay or is the trailing arm going to hit the frame first. 4- what would the best bag for this app. be. 5- does any body have a link for the Kp step notch and brackets. Any thing else you might want to add as I might not know what lies ahead in a project like this. and lastly how much more drop will this give over not cutting in the bed area.

cabinetguy, yes that is the exact setup I am running. I'm not 100% certain if it will lay all the way out but it will be darn close.
