lower control arm and coil shifted
I think the PO hit a curb because the driver side lower a-arm has actually shifted an inch back causing the coil spring to move off of its perch. Has anyone ever had to deal with lower a-arm shifting problems? It seems like an easy fix= compress spring+ loosen lower arm+move an inch forward+ reposition coil spring.

Re: lower control arm and coil shifted
need pics...
you check the bushings? Are they there and in the right place? If you do it, make sure you have the cross shaft alignment holes aligned with the little "locator" on the shaft saddle bolted to the frame.

Re: lower control arm and coil shifted
I didn't see any cracks at all. Where exactly are the alignment marks located? Any pics?

Re: lower control arm and coil shifted
There are two alignment pins on the chassis that mate with two holes in the A arm cross shaft. You will probably have to remove the a arm to see them.

look at the picture on the lower left, click it to make big, see the shaft for the lower arm? part #50 In real life, there will be 2 round shaped indentions "holes" at the top, they align with the saddle above it..part#47
