how wide can i go?

how wide of a whell can i fit on my seirra with the stock wheel tubs? i want to run 15x8 rally wheels in the front and 15x10 or, if they will fit 15x12 rallies in the back. im pretty sure the 15x12s wont fit, but will the 15x10s fit without the tires sticking out past the fenders? i tried a search and drew a blank. thanks

Re: how wide can i go?

15x10's will fit no problem, here is my truck with them on the rear.

15x12's would be a close fit, and would require a lot of backspace to make work...even then, not sure the tires would clear the inner fenders if they did fit.

Re: how wide can i go?

I would love to run 10's in the rear with 275/60 and 8's in the front with the same tire size, but I don't know how that would look on a LWB. Oh and you can't rotate the tires with the staggered fit. That's my hangup. I'll more than likely just do 8's all around.

Re: how wide can i go?

The whole trick is what backspacing you have on the wheels. You can order a set that has more backspacing and gain the room under the fenders.

Re: how wide can i go?

I have a step side with 15X10 rallies and 325-50-15's on the rear. only have about 1/2" clearance. Buy the way, I have a 4/5 drop.

You could compromise and go 9's all the way around. That way you still get the look/traction of 10 and still get to rotate your tires...

Re: how wide can i go?

I've got 20x12's in the rear of my stepside. 12" wide rims will fit.....Its all in the backspacing and tire width.
