69 sb to bb help
when we got the 69 it had a sb on 73 and up frame towers/motor mounts that are in the 6cyl position.it sits so close to firewall the hei has to be put in after motor.will a 402 bb fit this way or do i need to move the towers to the v8 position.i konw it will be a tight fit but would like to leave it sitting back if i could.
thanks to fuel pump going bad the sb is really clean inside.guess all that gas cleaned it up good before it took out the bearings.lol

Re: 69 sb to bb help
The sbc's in the the 4wd's are in the 6 cyl position and most people have firewall issues when they swap in a bbc so I'm assuming you likely will too. I'd move it forward if it were me.

thanx to these guys i was able to finish my swap. here are pictures how it started the engine when i first droped it onced finished all i had to do was attach the motor to the tranny and let it drop WITH THE MOTOR MOUNT TOWERS ATTACHED TO THE MOTOR mounts, once the engine was siting on the towers i just modified and tweeked them to clear the bb stock exhaust manifolds and fit the chassis properly
