How many miles are on your ride?
I had the truck out last week... while I was head'n to the a local Sonic I turned the speedo over the 87,000 mark. Another 12,000+ miles... it will be a "NEW" truck again! Keep in mind this is the 2nd time it's going to be rolled

Re: How many miles are on your ride?
Around 170,000 km (106,000 miles) and still going strong - except for this morning...
Personally I consider it just broken in. |

Re: How many miles are on your ride?
My Brothers 1997 Silverado is rolling past 230,000 right now
My Father's 1993 Big Block Suburban is around 255,000 I just traded in my 2001 Silverado at 153,000 (Bought it used 2.5 years ago with 50,000 miles) Here is a picture I snapped a few years ago when my SuperCoupe hit 200,000 miles. I had to get the needle out of the way to get a clear shot of the odometer :-) . Had a deer commit suicide by jumping in front of it 8 months after the picture. Totaled at 230,000 miles.

Re: How many miles are on your ride?
I have no idea how many miles are on the truck itself. The original 85mph speedo was replaced by a 100mph speedo by the PO, that one had 85xxx on it. Now with my autometer dash setup I've got just a touch over 15k miles on it, so we'll go with that. Motor only has 18k on it, tranny only has 8k.

Sorry to jack the thread, but where do you get the 100 mph speedo's?

Re: How many miles are on your ride?
I'm pretty sure that my 78 before being wrecked probably turned over AT LEAST 3 times, but most likely 4 or 5 times. I could tell that truck had always been a daily driver for the previous owners and never a garage queen. I'm sure the truck changed hands many times in the past. At least it lived an eventful life though right? During the time that it was in my family, we put well over 100K on it and watched the odometer roll over to 00000.

Re: How many miles are on your ride?
335,000 on original motor, rebuilt tranny, and a new U-joint. Oh, and replaced the starter. Other than that it's what it came off the factory line with.

Just turned over 310 today. Not 310k, just 310. Its all after the restoration, not sure what the truck had on it before I started.
