contol arm shafts

how do you remove the control arm shafts looks like just a nut on both ends but i cant get them to budge used wd40 out the wazzoo am i just missing something or whut

The shaft screws into the nut on both end and the nut threads into the the arm. They will take some serious effort to bust loose especially if they haven't been greased regularly and are rusty. I had to use some pipe for cheater bars.

I just did this last night on my 72 c20. It was a pain, but a little PB Blaster and 2 feet of pipe on the end of my ratchet and I was in business. have fun!

I put the shafts in the vice then used the impact gun. Easy as pie.
