Re: New gauge cluster ?

I think hes yanking your chain that looks too tall and not wide enought to fit looks like if the bottom was a bit different it would fit in a '55!

Re: New gauge cluster ?

That is what is left of a gauge setup for a 1966 Impala or Caprice. It was never in a pickup. The top where it should surround the heater control has been cut off. If you bid on it, I would retract it, because it will not fit your truck. If you want to hang it under the dash, that may work, the 66 Impala used the same A/C control as the 67-72, so it would line up with that I suppose. Hope that was helpful!

holy shorts!!!! funny I see this now, but I actually just won it for my buddies 66 imp... he has a few gauge issues and wanted a spare or two... yes it looks like the top has been cut, and no its not for our trucks... hopefully someone wont crucify me for jumpin in at the last minute ... but It was spending someone elses money so to speak...

Re: New gauge cluster ?

Just being a little bit sarcastic,,,,, proves you have to check closely what you buy on Evil bay because some sellers have know idea what they are selling,,,,,Just my opinion here but someone probably told that person selling it that it came out of one of our trucks and they believed it.

I'd still like to know what it's really out of though !!!

Re: New gauge cluster ?

I thought the winning bidders name looked familiar!!
Congrats, and like woodrow59 said, I'm glad you got it for what it is, not what it was described to be...

Re: New gauge cluster ?

Wouldn't be surprised if that isn't worth more than the bid+shipping. Figure out exactly what it is and sell at a swap meet or back on E-bay.

Congrats - Bob
