rochester Electric connector question

Have 85 C10 w/ 305

Rochester Q-Jet has an electric connection that operates a solenoid.

Anyone know what this is for and how it is wired?

That would be the Mixture Control Soleniod. The ECM controls the dwell of the soleniod which leans or richens the idle circuit.

If someone has done a carb swap, you could have an earlier model which would still have the connector in the same area but it controls a vent soleniod only.
