Tire Fitment

Does anyone know how large a tire I can squeeze under a 68 short stepside that has been lowered 5 inches in the rear? I have 15 X 8 rims that I'm mounting them on. Would like as wide a tire as I can fit .

Re: Tire Fitment

I've always run 275/60/15's on 8 inch wheels in the rear. Assuming 4.25 to 5 inch backspace on the wheel, you'll have no rubbing. That's about as wide of a size commonly available in most brands.
