Rearend Widths

Isn't the 67-68 rearend a different width that the 69-up? I thought I remembered something about 3/4" difference in width. Is that each side or overall? Which is wider...early rearends or late rearends?

Thanks

Re: Rearend Widths

I believe it was mid 1970, & it's about 1.5" wider overall, so you were right 3/4" per side.

The mid 70's was a switch to the wider one and like 71chevylowrider said it is about 1.5". I searched a salvage yard with alot of these trucks and some 70's were narrower than others.
