94 Fullsize Blazer Body Lift and Tires Question
Hey guys, just looking for ideas
My 94 Fullsize Blazer... I was thinking (dreamin lol) on the way to school today... what if I Put a body lift and bigger tires on her? I want a wider tire/tire that sticks out farther as mine sit inside the flares too much. So new rims, bigger tires and a couple inches of body lift Anyone have pictures? I don't wheel my truck at all right now. I do need tires by fall.... I want a bigger (say... 33" ish) tire, that looks good but not uber agressive this time. I have BF all Terrains now and they are good, but pricey. Something def wider, with a new wider rim and some offset. I pretty much just want my truck to be bigger, but not gonna wheel it much (if at all) Are there any problems with body lifts? How much work is it to put in? Oh! And what about the MPG change when I put on a bigger tire? Right now I run 265/(70 or 75)/R16 's Thanks!! edit... started looking.... What does everyone think of Pro Comps All Terrain? 305...315? 285? How big a tire can I fit under this truck with a 2 or 3 inch body lift? Also... how big without a lift of any sort?

Re: 94 Fullsize Blazer Body Lift and Tires Question
Body lifts are easy to install, just takes a few hours and is much easier to do then a suspension lift. The downside is your bumpers dont move so you would have to fab up a mount to raise the bumpers unless you want a big gap.As for the tires,Iv never had all terrains but have 315 Pro Comp M/Ts.They are a tad bit more agressive

Re: 94 Fullsize Blazer Body Lift and Tires Question
The body lift kit for a '94 should have the front bumper relocation brackets in it. The rear bumper relocation brackets are optional.
My '96 Burb had a 3" body lift and 285's on 16x8 wheels when I bought it. The wheels and tires stuck out just enough so they didn't look tucked under the fenders. Here it is with 265/75-16's before I removed the 3" body lift. |

Re: 94 Fullsize Blazer Body Lift and Tires Question
You can put 8" rims on and gain a wider stance to fill out your fenders.I`d get a Rancho lift(torsion bars)for 1500s.It`s around $400+/-.You get something in the way of improved suspension and it`s less work. You can run 285/75s and it`ll look awesome bad. This is a 3500 with t-bars cranked. It also had air bags all the way around. But,on the front they only helped hold the height, not add height. On the rear I leveled it up or aired down to work out off.The Rancho 1500 lift, basically, gives you the HD t-bars that this truck has from factory. But,this is w/285/75 Swamper SSRs & 8" Welds:

Re: 94 Fullsize Blazer Body Lift and Tires Question
I would do that Rancho lift on yours. You`ll basically have what I had. They would rub very little. But,these were nubby Super Swampers.I removed the fillers behind the bumper. Those are Bushwacker flares to give another inch of width.I had to use "non-flare" fenders since mine came with factory flares and the mounting holes wouldn`t have been covered. With stock rims they won`t rub at all.
