Windshield wiper removal
How do u do it? I took out the little "tab" metal piece, and now can i just pull them off, becuuse there certainly not coming off. Im trying to take off the cowl.....

took out the tab? you are supposed to push it up with a screwdriver and wiggle the wiper off.

oh man, good thing i talked to u then, i did find it kinda strange that the tab thingys came out really easy, they almost fell out. Thanks igo try it, maybe i wont make this mistake again......

Well that certainly didnt have an affect, sadly. I put the tabs back in and then pushed on them with a screwdriver while wiggling the arm, and they didnt move a bit. ANy suggestions?

I pull my tabs out, using a rag to cover the wiper base, I grab it with my
soft teeth craftsman pliers, and with the other as close to the base as I can get it, my hand that is, I wiggle while the arm is stretched inverted.

I think on my passenger side one the end of the stud for the drive is cominf witht he wiper arm though. This isnt supposed to happen right? Maybe the PO painted em and then just jammed the arms on.....

Possible, but the shafts are bolted down, the 1st time they're always a beyotch
after that they get easier everytime you do it. Just try to be a lil patient

yea ill go out in a while and try it again....looks like somebody had fun with a screwdriver some other time though, the paints all real beat up on the coml below the studs.....

You can pop them off with a screwdriver, but it usually will scratch the paint,
or even worse depending on the amount of force you use, can bend the cowl.
