Got my strong arms today..... Thanks nathan..

Well I ve been waiting on my strong arms to show up and they did today hell ya... First the positive great looking parts and they showed up quick nathan (porterbuilt)was very good to me and treated me right I would recomened anyone to buy from him. Ken (xxl)thanks for the info and recommendations to go with nathan.. Now the bad seems like for the cash you would get some braggin stickers but no? Also the box that the parts came in (from air ride not nathan) looked like it got drop kicked by a jack ass into the back of the truck even though the parts all look great the shippers should get a azz whoopin.. Any ways just wanted to say thanks to porterbuilt and xxl... here the pics of the cool box..

Looks to me like they don't want you to open the instructions, not the box!

Re: Got my strong arms today..... Thanks nathan..

I think you didn't get the upper shock mounts that WERE SUPPOSED TO COME with the kit. You have the 'new design' on the lower control arm where the shock mount tab is on top of the arm, this causes the upper shock mount to be relocated up higher. If you're missing the upper mount, let me know so we can make sure it gets out to you.

I am not exactly sure on this, and will have to verify... but from what I understood, the shocks were supposed to have a stud on top, and a new shock mount that bolts to the frame. Your lower arms are one of the first 'new design' sets that wen out (I still haven't got mine yet... they were supposed to arrive Friday, but UPS misplaced them???). The change was necessary due to the relocation of the lower shock mount. I will call the guys at Air Ride on Monday and see what's up.

My shock mounts hang below the a arm. Why did ART change the design?

They moved the lower shock mount to the top side of the lower control arm for ground clearance purposes.

I cut away the crossmember where the inner tie rod was hitting and now it will steer at full drop as long as the fenders are off the truck... Steering works fine...... Now just waiting on the powder and the new oil pan and timing chain for the 454..
