81-87 front clip on 73-80??????????
anybodydone it? main problem i see is the hood hinges.

I know it can be done and totally possable Just need to take a look at the electrical. as for the hinges, Theyer different?

Been told im nuts to bring it back from the dead (still going to happen) plans-all stock with a turbo 292 inline 3 speed column shift. and thats it big block 427 and 5 speed trans and ford 9 inch theyhave no home yet thinking what to put them in and a 79 c60 trash truck um no idea i have one

i did it you need the wipers form the 81-87 too the arms and all inside the cowl other than that its a bolt up i did the opposite i put a 73-80 nose on the 81-87 cab i forget the details but i know they will interchange you just need all the hardware for the wipers and all its been so long wish i could be more help ask captain kaos he does alot of that kind of thing

ahh i see the difference but on my 86 hood it has the hole for that hinge set up so might be able to use the 73-80 hinge on the later trucks.
