Re: new project for my dad.
That's cool! Almost easier than letting him borrow your truck all the time..

Re: new project for my dad.
Does he know about it or are you planning to surprise him with the finished truck?
That's a great idea and I hope to be able to do the same for my dad someday.

Re: new project for my dad.
good deal.My current project is a father/son build with dad supplying the shop space and time and me paying for it and working on it.He's put in a ton of time and given me oodles of ideas and support so I think he deserves a project of his own.
Enjoy the project and post lots of pics!

Re: new project for my dad.
LOL sounds like you're in for some good times .I know my dad and I argue alot over how things should be done, but it's always constructive and in the end come up with a solution that works.
btw thanks for checking out my pics.I wish i had more time to work on it,but it is what it is and we'll get er done eventually. That skidsteer does come in very handy alot of the time.

Re: new project for my dad.
Nice project, one question, how do you fix the roof. Just replace it with another one? J.

Ever since I got my swb, my dad has gained a lot of interest in these trucks. He's helping me with mine, but i gotta provide the $, lol. if he doesnt eventually get one, maybe thats what i'll have to do one day

Re: new project for my dad.
i have another cab i can use, and i really like that dash too, but then i won't be able to do my 4wd project. i have an 85 burban that i just pulled the motor out of and was thinking about putting that cab and lb on there.
but i'll prolly just go to the junk yard and cut a roof off. too many plans not enough time.

Re: new project for my dad.
welp i didn't get to work on the truck this weekend but my dad got the bumpers off and interior out. i got over to jc's (thanks again) house and picked up some fenders and a dash pad. also went to a swap meet and got some rockers and cb corners.
also picked up my donor truck for the roof.

Re: new project for my dad.
got to tear into this rust bucket finally tonight. also really started to see what i've got to replace and thats just about everything lol. na it's not that bad. put the old man to work today too, feels good to see him so motivated about this thing, makes me wanna finish it asap just to see him cruising around. enough typing picture time. funniest part was seeing him use my cordless impact for the first time, now he thinks it the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Re: new project for my dad.
Looks like you two have your work cut out for you. I wish I could do a project like that with my father. About the only time my father puts any labor into a vehicle is pumping gas! He said I should junk mine, but it's a keeper..
