Rewiring Truck This Weekend

I am rewiring my '64 c-10 pickup. I got a complete wiring harness from Keep-It-Clean wiring. Basically everything stock is coming out and the new stuff is going in. Hopefully my headlights I just got and the brake lights all work. If this all workd the truck will be street ready!

Anything I should know? Tips? Any wiring diagrams I may need?

Thanks!

The only thing I can say is take your time and use some good quality connectors. That was 2 things. Good luck, Jeremy.

Also----do not hurry---keep it neat
Test individual circuits as you are installing them.
many people get hung up on the turn&taillights---be patient.
use new bulb and make sure you have a solid ground

keep extra fuses handy-----you will make an error somwhere you will need to fix.

points and HEI wire slightly different.
And for a bonus----wire your headlights thru a pair of relays---lights are much brighter and not so much electrical current is going thru the headlight switch.
Headlights pull a lot of amps.
If you don't have one already----use a volt gage and bypass the amp meter.
ammeters are testy and can cause fires.

I checked them before I sent them......worked fine

And as said above take your time, and if you get stumped just stop and ask for help if needed.

Take your time. I just bought wiring harnesses from m&h electric. they caome with all the factory connections. So that made it real easy.
