Post pics of mirrors on our trucks

Hi all,
I'm trying to decide on new mirrors for my truck. Do any of you have pics of trucks with different mirrors (the rectangular sport, round with long arm, peep mirrors, etc.)
Thanks,
slow

It is a tough decision. After painting my truck (and getting rid of the camper mirrors on it), I really did not want to drill holes in my newly finished doors, especially for the original mirrors that I personally do not care for, so I used peep mirrors. And I only used them because I could not find any other mirrors that I liked. I'm still looking for something that I like, to no avail. It all comes down to personal preference I guess, but I'm not drilling holes 'till I find the right ones!

longhornmail- what was the code number for those mirrors? I am trying to find out what mirrors came with my '72. In any case, does anybody have the original mirrors on theirs with the code nbr D29? Sorry to sidetrack from the original question here.

See my AD in the parts section. Have better pics to. Thought they were the 69-70 Blazer mirrors. Might just be generic replacements

i agree with case, no mirrors is good

hooter, those are also 71 72 mirrors, i have them on my 71 doors and doors never been repainted and are no other holes in doors
and sine they arent listed on glovebox door, or any othe rmirrors, then they must be either dealer installed, or standard equipment production mirrors in 71 :

prismatic refers ot the inside rear view mirrors, not to the exterior ones

I'm not proud of it, but I have the cheap Schucks specals on my K5. Don't waste your $ on these things. The passenger side doesn't even turn far enough to use it and I've had them less than a year and rust is shoing on the few metal parts.

Put the factory type round ones back on mine like in the 69 truck below.......gives the truck a unique look. seems like most of the time people switch to the 71-72 style mirror.

The ones longhornmail posted were the RV mirrors that were actually offered as an option in '69, at least for the 3/4 ton C20. I know cause it's listed on the sticker.

Yes, they are fugly. Can't wait to get rid of them. They also screw up the outer door shell:

...I'm probably going to go with this:

If you go with case_bt, beware... the fuzz will be on you like white on rice. In AZ you are required to have two mirrors, a drivers outside mirror and either a passenger outside mirror, or a rearview. I got pulled over in Utah while I was in the '69 and no outside mirrors. Cop decided to search the pickup and found my gun and got all hurt. Almost went to the pokey! Anyway, that's another story. The cops in my hometown would tell me to get a mirror, but never pulled me over to do it (you know, at the donut shop - "get a mirror on that thing, Bowen").

Almost forgot:

The '68: Think it's the stock square one.

The '69: No idea where these came from, they are a "Jr West Coast" style, and wish I could find identicals to go back on.

The '72: These are actually Ford mirrors (I didn't do it, they were there when I bought it)

Case_bt,
A word to the wise, next time you share a picture of that sweet truck remember to delete the license plate or you will wake up one morning and it won't be there anymore. Not that anyone registered on this board would do that to you, but we do have visitors on here. Being from Texas too I know how thick the theives are down here. Be a little more carefull next time.

Most states will not give out your address. In Tx they won't, and Ohio they won't. I know L.A. in Cali won't do it eitherAlex, you asked what the code is on my mirrors...which pic? I posted 2.
