front end swap

I have a chence to use a front end from a 73 chevy, will it fit a 65 model, what all is need to get from the donor truck?

thanks wild one , i read your post in the FAQ, was concerned about the year 66, but I think it should work, the guys wants 100 bucks for the whole thing, could I run my stock master cylinder until more funds are availble?

This swap will work for all of 64-66 model year trucks. If you still have the stock single reservoir master cylinder then unfortunately, no. It is meant for drum brakes only and will not have the capacity to stop your truck. You will need to re-plumb the front brake lines to incorporate separate front left / right brake lines from the newer style proportioning valve (be sure to get this part off of the donor vehicle, usually mounted on the front most cross member on the drivers side).Best of luck on your project!
