Fleetside Tailgate 4 Sale
I would consider this to be a FAIR tailgate, good for a driver or work truck. It has had some work done to it in the past. There is some bondo in it. No rot showing but I can't answer for what's under the paint & bondo. I recieved it as you see it. I reserve the right to sell this locally. $100 or best offer.

Re: Fleetside Tailgate 4 Sale
Go to your local bike shop and get a box for it. They have tons of them and they'll give them to you for free. It will fit in a bicycle box.

Re: Fleetside Tailgate 4 Sale
1969K10stepside;
I also have a weakness for the SWB 4x4's one that I restored 9 yrs ago and is now falling apart from under me (salt & plowing did that ) I have parts and pieces of a 70 that I'm selling off to fund my latest project a 72 SWB 4x4, That's the chassis you see under the tailgate. ( And it's flawless !!!! ) Pic's will be coming in the following months. ( This one will never see salt or snow ) Just picked up a new take off tailgate from JC and YES John a nice cab from you !!!! John: I'll be berried in this one, so don't fret yourself about it !!!! Msgross; It maybe possible to get it down to NJ. But I need to talk to him 1st ( I'm already in debt to him ) Gary

Re: Fleetside Tailgate 4 Sale
Gary, I could probably do NJ. Let me know if it gets to me.
The top appears to be very straight, how about the rest of it? My gate has a two inch gap at the bottom when shut due to the banana like warp that it has. If it's better than that then we might be able to do something...

Re: Fleetside Tailgate 4 Sale
The 3rd & 5th picture shows the bottom. There is a very slight bow that you might be able to make out if you look at the 5th pic. It also has a couple of small dents in the front that don't show in the pic's. I can get closer pic's of them if you want.

Re: Fleetside Tailgate 4 Sale
actually if a subscriber is selling than anyone can buy... it is still worth it to subscribe. ( I asked a mod a few months ago about that situation)
Gary, i'm still interested pending our previous conversation...

Re: Fleetside Tailgate 4 Sale
Mike;
I believe I can get it down to NJ, but I still need to call him and find out for sure and when he's making his next trip. The other option is shipping it, but that will add to the cost. I'm going to try and get it boxed by this weeked so it will be ready for who ever it goes to. Gary

Re: Fleetside Tailgate 4 Sale
Just got some online shipping quotes from UPS & DHL and they ranged from $80 to $110. So anyone that inquired about shiping you can add about $100 to the cost of the gate by the time you get it. I personally don't consider this to be a $200 gate, so this will most likely have to be a local pick up deal.

Re: Fleetside Tailgate 4 Sale
Joe;
I haven't actually boxed it at this time. I weighed it ( 53 lbs ) and measured it and added a few ins to it's dimensions and to it's weight to get some online quotes. So I used 72" x 24" x 6" and 60 lbs. RI is close enogh to drive ( couple hrs each way ) I work in Billerica witch would cut that down some. Gary

Re: Fleetside Tailgate 4 Sale
There's been soooo many gates for sale lately ( and some close to you ) that I thought you would have one by now. I still have it, Joe is the only other one inquiring about it at this point. I'm just waiting to hear back from him.

Re: Fleetside Tailgate 4 Sale
Gary,
Mike was in line well before me. If you can work it out with him thats great. If not I work in North Attleboro so that gets me within an hour if I head out from here. I'll keep an eye out here to see if it works out with Mike. If not I'll make arrangements to meet you in Billerica. Thanks, Joe
