4" lift
What do I need to look for to do a 3 or 4 inch lift on my sons truck? its a 99 Z71. Are there any packages where I get everything I need or should I just order the pieces I need? any Ideas are welcome I just want to do it right the first time and also for it to look good.

Re: 4" lift
Though they are a little expensive, I've only ever heard good things about Fabtech suspension lifts...

Re: 4" lift
You can't put a ifs lift kit together part by part. You have to buy a kit. each kit is slightly different from the next and i wouldn't start mixing and matching based on what used parts you can dig up.
IFS lifts just are not as simple as the old style solid axle stuff. You got all kinds of drop brackets for the diff, a/arms and torsion bars. then you got some that use a new tall steering knuckle where others use the stock one and lower the upper a-arms. Do the research on the web and then save up for the kit you feel fits your needs best.

Re: 4" lift
OK thanks guys, so now really I guess what I'm wondering about now is I know a body lift isn't as good as a suspention lift but I really don't have the funds for anything except a body lift right now. In you all's opinion would I look and function OK with a 3 0r 4 inch body lift or, would we better off waiting for the suspention one?
You know how it is the kid wants it jacked up right now and I really want to do it for him but I want it to be right.

Re: 4" lift
That Rancho kit is under $500.It`s not a Bracket kit like the others. Not a major job and expense like the others. There`s alot of associated work involved with a body lift. Not as simple as just adding them in.
