What king of header gaskets should i use on my 350?

copper is a good way to go...they are a little expensive around 36 buck but they are worth it they will never blow out and they hardly ever leak basically the last header gaskets you'll buy......i would stay away from the paper gaskets.....they work but just not for long, they eventually burn up....also a dead soft metal gasket would work just as well....

my brother has some of the Earls dead soft aluminum header gasket. They cost a Buttload of money, but they work awesome. I mean his header is warped sooo much. When he put paper gaskets on it, it leaked really bad. He put the Earls on it is perfect. The surround on them is reusable, but you have to buy new inserts when you take them off. I have tried the copper ones and they were allright. I didn't like the copper collector gaskets. Another thing about the earls is that they are a pain to put on. Hope that helps. Low68

ive had good luck with the fel-pro stock manfold gaskets..you know the foil looking ones

Go get yourself some $6.00 exhaust manifold gaskets. They work great and won't blow out. If you ever bought an engine gasket set, you may have some extra's laying around.
It also helps to apply a thin coat of RTV to both sides of the gasket during the install. This also improves the cardboard type.

has anyone tried the Permatex Ultra Black silcone that sanderson reccommends on all of its headers, instead of a gasket?
