carrier bearing question

What trucks have them originally, and which dont? I have a 63 longbed, it does not, but it might be easier to drop the truck all the way If I did. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: carrier bearing question

To my knowledge all longbeds had 2pc driveshafts with a carrier bearing and short beds, and pre 67 burbs had 1pc driveshafts. Yours must have one longa$$ driveshaft. What tranny ya got? is it a long shaft auto? If so that would help with the length.

Re: carrier bearing question

I have a one piece, its almost 10 feet long, and I am sure it will hit the body when I lay the frame all the down. Anyone ever swapped to a 2 piece from a 1 piece before?
