WTB: 71 4X4 center link
I believe that is what it is called, the rod that has the tie rods on each end, mine is bent from wheelin so I thought I'd check to see if anyone has one for sale.

Re: WTB: 71 4X4 center link
It "is" the tie rod.The ends are called tie rod ends. These are only available used.Make sure threads are in good shape.I replaced one for that reason.

Re: WTB: 71 4X4 center link
I have a few for that I can sell. Whats your zip for shipping? Do you need one with a steering stabilizer hole on the end or center? (or none). And what is the length of yours?
How's $25 + cheapest ride?

Re: WTB: 71 4X4 center link
Here is what he is looking for, I think. This is one of the three that I have, you can have the tie rod ends too... steering stabilizer is already gone. Note how the factory steering stabilizer hooks onto the center, I have one that has the hole at the end too...

Re: WTB: 71 4X4 center link
I could use a good straight one as well, without the hole for the stabilizer. If you end up with an extra I am interested.
Thanks, Jeff

The one with no hole is for my closed knuckle 68. what is the measurement of yours?
Will you take one with a hole?

Re: WTB: 71 4X4 center link
Not sure if you are referring to me or not, but take care of teamradrz1 first and if you have one without a hole I would be interested.
Jeff

Re: WTB: 71 4X4 center link
OK mine has the hole on the end not in the middle and it is about 58" long tie rod to tie rod. I have a DANA 44 up front with 3/4 ton axels. But nothing is in the hole and I bought a pro-comp dual shock stabilizer so will that work or do I need the one with the hole in the middle and do I have to have the factory stabilizer on it to be effective or could I use one with no hole since I have the aftermarket stabilizer? HELP

Re: WTB: 71 4X4 center link
sorry for the delay guys, just got back from business trip.
I don't think that it will hurt anything to run without the factory stabilizer if you are running an aftermarket dual setup. It should matter if you have a hole or not either since it will use a U-bolt for your new one. 58" sounds right, do you need anything besides the rod?

Re: WTB: 71 4X4 center link
Hey ms,
Do you have one that doesn't have a hole for the stabilizer? Just a plain round tube? Jeff

Re: WTB: 71 4X4 center link
yes, it's off my closed knuckle. I'm waiting to see if teamradrz1 wants my other one or that one, just sent him an email last night... give it another day or so...
$50 + shipping (probably around $20 to ship)

Re: WTB: 71 4X4 center link
Did you find out whether 3~4 and 1~2 ton tie rods are the same. I would think that they are but not sure, Anybody?

Re: WTB: 71 4X4 center link
I imagine that if there was any difference it would be where the tie rod ends connect to the knuckle.
I started a new thread with mine for sale.. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=235308

Re: WTB: 71 4X4 center link
The ones with the hole for the stabalizer are a solid steel shaft and have the tierod end made onto them on one end and an adjusting sleeve with a short tierod end threaded into it on the other end, correct?
Those are available new, (or was a couple years ago anyway). My 72 has a hollow tube with threaded ends on each end for the tierod ends to thread into.

Re: WTB: 71 4X4 center link
my 82 axles are like that but the 76 has one fixed end with a sleeve at the other end.
