Found some C50 parts, need some info....
Hey guys, found a nice C50 and need some info. The doors are rust free and straight as an arrow. I realize that the front corner is cut off on the door, but can I just weld in that front corner and use it on my C10? Is the cab the same with the exception of the lights? Any ifo would be great..............Jerry

Re: Found some C50 parts, need some info....
Good to hear Gary, the door is as clean as any I have seen, no rust through on the inside bottom or the outside corner and straight as an arrow. All the cab supports are in great shape, but the floor looks to me like it may be different. Not sure. There are 2 trucks there, one has a 427 in it but it has a really different looking motor mount setup, not C10 style mounts. Somebody al;ready snagged the gauges out of it, so I am thinking it might have had a tach dash. Thanks, .....Jerry

the cab is a no-go, the whole firewall, front part of the floor and a few minor things... not worth anything but patch panels.

yes, the bodys are the same 10 - 30 series. My one ton has fenders off a 1/2 ton, a door from a 3/4 ton, a bed off a 3/4 ton a tailgate from a 1/2 ton, cowl from a 3/4 ton... etc.

Does it have the cover for the heater control cables? If you have no use for it, I would be interested in it.

Not the cables, there may be a cover to keep your feet from hitting them. I'm looking for the cover

Re: Found some C50 parts, need some info....
Oh okay. I thought you meant the heater controls/cables. Is this the cover that is below the dash right under the heater controls? I will be going back the first of next week, I will try to take my camera with me.
72Freak - The drivers side fender looks to be rust free but it has some body filler towards the back of it. Must have been a dent or something there because they started fixing it and then never finished. I will try to get a pic of that also. Pass fender is dented up. Any more parts you need? I listed a Holley Factory carb 4150-G on the parts board if you guys have any interest in it. Thanks, .......Jerry
