Re: Mirrors.....

I have the stock mirror on the drivers side. Not great, but it works well for me, still requires lots of shoulder checking.

Re: Mirrors.....

I haven't driven with them, but I love the look of them.

I bought mine though SoCal Speed shop online, but there's got to be other companies that sell them. They're the ones used on the Southern Motor Company trucks. They are the swan neck style.

Re: Mirrors.....

Thanks guys.

58 GMC, your truck is fabulous as well, although your truck and mine are of different styles, they both come from the same genes!

Now we have to get Cal's 58 ident to show up in green!

Re: Mirrors.....

Kind of a different route to go, but have you seen the late 80's ford bronco moulded plastic mirrors on the 55-59 chevy trucks? They look nice and you could always make up a story about what they were from.

Re: Mirrors.....

The swan necks look great, but on my 47, I can't adjust far enough
to see the back of my truck in the pass side. The truck gets narrower
toward the front on our trucks. Maybe a shim behind the front of
the mounting surface?
